About us

SoTA is a Society operating as a non-profit community interest company (CIC) limited by guarantee. We launched in 2024 and run deeptech Hackathons, Demo Nights, Engineering Commissions, Debates, and a journal called SoTA Letters.

We are directed by Jamie and Matvey, supported by a team of founders and engineers who volunteer their time, and advised by individuals including Arnaud Schenk (Polaris Fellowship, Aztec), Dr Walter Goodwin (Fractile), Prof Tyler Cowen (Emergent Ventures, Mercatus Center), and Thomas Milton (Amodo Design).
